Bragging rights on the line, as Bees travel to Marley for 'battle of the worth valley'
Its cup weekend, and a chance to put the disappointment of last week’s league defeat to one side... at least for the time being.
The Bees will travel less than 3 miles down the road, to Marley, for a local derby game with the all-orange shirts of Oxenhope.
Dubbed by some as 'the battle of the worth valley', the Bees will be looking to lay down a marker and upset the odds. In Oxenhope, they face a side three divisions above them and so any such win will be hard fought, especially with the oranges’ boasting an impressive record so far this season. 4 wins and just 1 defeat, which coincidentally came at the hands of the Bees fellow Oakworth U12s side, the Wasps.
Early team news shows that the Bees will be without long term absentee, O'Gara as goalkeeper Richardson faces a late test of mental strength, following a spell of disobedience over the last 2 weeks.
